The San Francisco Bay Area and the Pacific Northwest provided me with an inspiring book tour in the summer of 2018. The former illustrious Laurel Books in Oakland, California was the start of this lovely tour, followed by iconic Little Sisters Book and Art and Emporium in Vancouver, BC. Then, I ventured to elegant Third Place Books Seward Park in Seattle, and adorable and inviting Another Read Through in Portland. The Northern Hemisphere tour came to a close at homey Liberty Bay Books in Poulsbo, WA.

In February 2020, I delighted in a reading at the Launceston Library in Launceston, Tasmania !

I read at the Montana Book Festival in Missoula, Montana September 12-15! http://www.montanabookfestival.org/

“This is a glorious, soaring, majestic, magical, erotic, sensual tale of an emerald suitcase and those whose lives are connected to it across continents and through generations. The story follows a lesbian music professor on travels that take her from Seattle to Tasmania to Colorado, then to Paris and finally to the home of her ancestors - Iran. The author weaves such a tantalising sense of place as she evokes sounds, taste, smell, sights and touch. The locations are characters in the novel, such is the depth with which they are described. Of course, there is music. The soaring cadence of Vivaldi through to the deep rhythms of the didgeridoo. Music is woven throughout the narrative. Listening to the author's Spotify playlist for this novel whilst reading the book adds layers to its rich textures. The writing is evocative. The novel is lyrical and mystical. It is rare to experience a novel that speaks to the soul of the reader in so many ways.”
